Happy Mother's Day

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]other's Day, much like any other holiday, comes but once a year.  This day should not go unnoticed.  It is a day to show gratitude to the Mother's in our lives.  I, for one, would not be who I am today if I did not have such a caring, patient and kind Mother who daily took the time impart her wisdom on my brother and I.  I also know that mothering my three children would not have come as naturally if I had not had such a mentor in my life.  Mothering, nurturing, shaping, guiding and instilling good values is no easy task and deserves to be recognized and praised.  Albeit many may not all have a biological "mother", I think that most of us have someone in our lives that we could turn to for encouragement, advice or a hug when only that would suffice. Through the love of dedicated Mother's, we are able to become hard working, involved, and responsible citizens of our world. Make sure you take the time to tell the ones you love what they mean to you. We were very happy to see so many entries for this contest, and the 36 photos gained 789 votes in total! So without further ado, We would love to wish a special Happy Mother's Day to Prissy Stephens! Prissy had some tough competition, but was the winner of our Mother's Day photo contest and raked in 110 votes for her picture!   Mother and Son   It was wonderful to see Alaskan families enjoying the great outdoors with each other!  We hope everyone enjoyed viewing the entry photos as much as we did and if you didn't get a chance to check them all out, please do!
