The Alaska Life Recipe Throwdown

[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ur friends over at Cajun's Choice Inc. have been gracious in giving us some awesome samples for our readers to try and experiment with! I have been trying to think of something to get our readers involved and have a little fun.  With that said, The Alaska Life will be hosting a Cajun's Choice Throwdown! If you love to cook with Alaskan game meat and fish, this challenge is for you!

 

The first (20) people to volunteer for our cook off will be be contacted and will be set to receive one sample pack of Cajun's Choice Inc. spices to experiment with for FREE!  But here is the catch, in return we will need you to send us at least one amazing recipe that you've created, along with pictures of the process and the end result! You are also required to use any variety of Alaskan wild meat, it can be large game, small game, fish, crab, shrimp you name it.  If you don't have access to wild game in your own freezer, feel free to purchase whatever fresh food that comes from our lands or waters locally for your entry.  All of the recipes will be reviewed and voted on by The Alaska Life staff.  The winner of the Throwdown will have their recipe posted onto our website as a featured article, as well as receive an Alaska Life decal, a Cajuns Choice product gift set, and a cookbook from one of Cajuns Choice personal favorite chefs Gary Puetz!  Do you think you are up for the challenge?  The first 20 people to comment on this article will have first go as our entrants.  Keep in mind that your recipe does not have to only include Cajuns Choice Inc. spices, but your must include at least one of the items from the pack in your recipe. Be watching because we will name the first 20 readers that agree to follow through with the terms asking them to send us your contact info, You will then have by April 1st to be thinking and creating your winning recipes!  Who knows, we may like so many that you could have a recipe on our cookbook tab even if you are not the the gold medal winner!  Besides whats more fun that cooking amazing food with free spices!

So to recap:

2. Look for your name to be posted if it is, email us your address
3. Think of an amazing recipe that's new and creative
4. Receive your Cajun's Choice Inc. spices and cook your little heart out!
5. Send us your recipes and photos by (April 1st, 2013)

  *Remember : Take good notes as you cook, measurements  temps, quantities and which spices you used.  Tell us a little bit about how you enjoyed using Cajun's Choice Inc. spices, tell us how it tasted if it was a party hit or kid approved!  Tell us what inspired you to prepare it like you did!  Give us all of the juicy deets, when you are done email your "winner" to admin@thealaskalife.com to be sent to the judges.   Maximum 3 entries per person, with a minimum of 1.
