Tuffo Muddy Buddy Kids Rain Suit Review

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]  few years ago I was looking for kids rain gear.  I shopped in every local store and not one place carried anything smaller than a child's size 6 set of pants and jacket.  I scoured the internet looking for a rain suit that would be "toddler proof" as far as water in, and in durability.  I stumbled upon these Tuffo Muddy Coveralls and thought I would give it a try. At the time my kids were sizes 2T and 3T.  I knew that I wanted room for them to grow as well as enough room for them to wear warmer layers underneath.  I decided to order a size larger for each child in order to get as many months of use out of them as possible.  I chose the yellow color because I knew that if these worked out, I would be passing them down to my other kiddos.I had high hopes for these things but, I wasn't going to hold my breath.  It seemed too good to be true!  I received these suits in the mail and they were exactly what I was looking for! The material is a sturdy nylon with a polyurethane coating.  The Tuffo is very light weight and easy for toddlers to maneuver in.  It features dual front zippers which allow quick access on and off  your child.  The seat and the knees are reinforced with a heavy-duty nylon for extra puncture protection .  The Muddy Buddy has elasticized cuffs on both wrists and ankles allowing room to tuck gloves or boots appropriately for maximum dryness.  The hood of the rain suit is also elasticized with a small brim to shed water away from the face.   We have used these suits many times and we have yet to incur a hole or tear.  They are very roomy (even without ordering a size larger) and you can easily layer your child with warm clothing underneath.  These are with the sealed seams this sucker is %100 waterproof with means your little puddle jumper will stay warm, dry and happy!  It is  great for families that spend a lot of time outdoors in both wet or muddy conditions they are also great as a wind barrier.  In my personal experience they rinse well with a hose and also wash well, I have peeled them off my kids and thrown them in the washer come out perfectly clean.  I used a very light detergent and hung them to dry...Good as new! I recommend the Tuffo Muddy Muddy rain suit to all of our outdoor friends with little ones.  As a mom of three very active kids this is a product that I am happy to have in our gear stash.  Time after time they have proven to be able to handle the wet Alaska springs and summers as well as wheeler riding in the backcountry.  This product get's 5 stars from this mama!  Click the link at the bottom of the article to order your own!
